Blog 1.3 Rubik's Cube
Welcome back fellow bloggers! This week I learned how to solve many different parts and sides to the cube. I am not be able to solve it as quickly as Tierney showed us in class, but I am pushing myself to learn the appropriate moves, patterns, and algorithms needed to solve the cube. Last week I struggled with completing the white side and the bottom layer of the puzzle, but with practice and time, I was finally able to solve these two steps! See below.
I also was able to fully solve the second/middle layer of the cube. (See below) Learning this process and the necessary steps require a lot of memorization. As of now, I am working on learning the appropriate moves and patterns used to solve the Rubik's Cube. I have learned there are many different situations you may encounter when trying to put the cube together, and these require learning different strategies to fix the problem.
How long has it taken you to master one side? What strategy are you using and why this strategy? Good luck!
ReplyDeleteSolving the cube is way harder than what many people think! There are a ton of steps to remember and I know I wouldn't have the patience to learn them all. Are you using YouTube to learn, or are there any other sources?
ReplyDeleteMaddie I can’t wait to see you get it done! You are learning and I can tell! Do you think you’ll have it learned soon? How do you plan on showing the class? I can’t wait!
