Blog 1.2 Rubik's Cube
Hello fellow classmates! It is only week 2 of trying to master the Rubik's Cube, and it has already been eventful and frustrating. This week I have been practicing the first step to solving the cube, creating the white petalled daisy. I am able to understand and solve this step, thanks to the helpful source of YouTube. In order to later place and solve all of the white faces properly, you must first structure a daisy looking image on the cube. This has not been the most difficult step.
The next step is to turn the cubes downward with a special algorithm I have learned. Once you do this, my YouTube instructor insists that the whole white face should be solved along with the bottom layer of the cube. As you can see in my images below, I successfully solved the white face. However, only half of the bottom layer is solved, the red and orange faces. My goal this next week is to figure out where I went wrong and to hopefully correct myself from this issue.
This is Grace! You saw what went wrong and have been researching a way to fix the problem you encountered! How long did it take you to solve the white part, and what’s the algorithm?
ReplyDeleteHey Maddie, I am so excited to watch you solve this rubric cube! I know you can do it! I know that you have been struggling with some parts of solving it, is there a way you can slow down the steps to get it? Can't wait to read the next blog!
